Our Mediterranean take on a chess pie, we start with a shortbread-style crust and layer it with honey-based custard enhanced with browned butter and maple syrup. Finished with a classic baklava combination of walnuts, almonds, and cinnamon. Sold in 4” squares, perfect for sharing (or not!).
Ingredients: whole wheat flour, butter, turbinado sugar, honey, maple syrup, cornmeal, eggs, heavy cream, vanilla extract (water, alcohol, vanilla extractives), apple cider vinegar, walnuts, almonds, sesame seeds, cinnamon, cardamom, salt.
